Engineering operations leadership

Build an operation that stays reliable under pressure.

I lead technical organizations through evidence, clear ownership and capability that grows throughout the team. My job is to connect platform reliability, customer trust and business decisions while staying close enough to the technical reality to lead well when the stakes rise.

The leadership system

Evidence, team depth and trust reinforce one another.

Reliable operations depend on useful data, capable people, clear decisions and knowledge the team can use after an incident.

Evidence

Make the operation visible

I introduced the support department’s first KPI framework and delivered its first executive report within 30 business days. The measures covered throughput, resolution time, same-day resolution, backlog age and account coverage.

That first reporting period captured triple-digit case volume across dozens of accounts, median resolution under two days and roughly four in ten cases resolved the same day. I also drove the inherited backlog to zero, including issues that had already been open for months.

Team

Build depth across the team

I own role design, hiring, interviews, onboarding, coaching and on-call planning. Engineers develop through labs, live incident shadowing, packet-capture walkthroughs, searchable knowledge and explicit escalation standards.

The aim is a team that can take on increasingly difficult work without making any one person the permanent dependency. Runbooks, cross-training and documented decision practices turn individual experience into organizational capability.

Customer trust

Lead the full recovery

Strategic-account recovery requires an honest diagnosis, a credible plan and disciplined communication. I bring engineering, sales, product, partners, customer teams and executives together around the same evidence and the same next actions.

When a rare escalation requires both decision authority and protocol-level depth, I can work directly with the technical evidence. I then convert the lesson into prevention, monitoring, training or product feedback so the response improves the system.

Practical AI

Strengthen judgment and repeatable work

I serve on SecureLogix’s corporate AI steering team and helped advance platform standardization with data privacy as a core requirement. I have also published an internal AI enablement documentation suite and delivered executive briefings on AI in Support and AI in Sales Operations.

My focus is practical: better documentation, more efficient diagnostics and reporting, and workflows whose outputs remain reviewable by people accountable for the result.

Operating approach

Plan and learn at three altitudes.

Direction, planning and execution belong in one connected system. Each level should make the next more precise, and results from the work should inform the next decision.

01 · Strategic

Choose the destination

Decide which platforms to support, which risks to retire and where people and capital should go, then align resources with those priorities.

02 · Tactical

Build the working plan

Define owners, sequence, dates, dependencies, validation and rollback. This is where a useful strategy becomes executable work.

03 · Operational

Execute and close the loop

Observe the evidence, decide, act and feed the result back into the system. An incident should improve documentation, training, monitoring, architecture or product quality.

Career arc

A career spanning infrastructure, customers, teams and operations

My experience spans enterprise support, voice security, cable headend operations, consulting, and the hands-on work of co-founding an ISP and an MSP.
